Adidas, Celebrating England's World Cup Rugby Victory… Almost

Three days before the 2018 Rugby World Cup final between England and South Africa, Adidas came to us with an emergency brief. How were we going to celebrate the English victory or commiserate their loss in the final?
They had bought distress media the night before and they needed assets urgently to fill them.
The other challenge was Adidas were the official sponsor of the English Rugby team's cleats and not their kits. They also wanted to leverage the players when possible in the campaign, this lead us to an innovative creative execution.
In three gruelling days, we concepted, animated and produced two complete campaigns, one for victory and the other for defeat. It's a shame the audience only got to see half the story… if only they had won!
