Sane, Xmas Wrapping Paper

After bringing a new client into our agency with SANE, it was nice to get a young team from Watford College involved with a lovely proactive idea.

It stems from a real insight – that despite all the media pressure to have a wonderful time around Christmas, someone you love might seem fine on the outside, but be struggling inside.

The wrapping paper features traditional Christmas images of smiling Santas and Snowmen on the outside, but when the parcel is opened, it reveals less happy versions of the characters with the message “You don’t always know what’s going on inside” and a call to support SANE.

We worked internally with our designers and illustrators to create the artwork, then we worked with SANE to produce a direct mail version of the wrapping paper, which was sent to their key ambassadors and influencers including Stephen Fry, James Arthur and Stan Collymore in the week before Christmas 2018 and.

We also created social assets that they could share, and added a message of donation to support the charity.
